Abstract
- The article presents a historical account of dermatology in Buddhist Sri Lankan literature. It provides a background of the origins of Buddhism in Sri Lanka during the era of the Indian Emperor King Asoka. It looks at writings of interest and relevance to dermatology in Buddhist teachings, including the "Girimananda Sutra." The description of psychodermatology in Buddhist philosophy is also presented.
