Abstract

The article focuses on the topics of families and gender in the works of Swedish picturebook author-illustrator Pija Lindenbaum. It says that the theme of all books of Lindenbaum places the child character in the center of the event. It explores the child character named Mini Mina in Lindenbaum's book including "Mini Mia and Her Darling Uncle," saying that the character deals with jealousy over the new partner of her uncle.
