Autotransplantation involves the transfer of teeth from one site to another in the same individual. Even though the indications for autotransplantation are limited, adhering to proper patient selection and surgical techniques bring good prognosis and can avoid the placement of an implant-supported prosthesis or other form of prosthetic tooth replacement.
