Abstract

Papillon-Lefevre syndrome (PLS) is an extremely rare genodermatosis inherited as an autosomal recessive trait. This disorder is characterized by palmoplantar keratoderma and precocious rapidly progressive periodontitis, leading to premature loss of deciduous and permanent teeth. Early diagnosis of the syndrome can help in preserving the teeth using multidisciplinary approach. This paper presents clinical approach in a 14 years old male diagnosed with Papillon-Lefevre syndrome. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
