Abstract

This section offers news briefs related to computers in libraries as of January 2014. Gale, part of Cengage Learning, has launched its new Ebook purchase model, Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL) that lets libraries purchase ebooks based on usage. The North Carolina Digital Heritage Center (NCDHC) will be the state access point to the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA). Library Publishing Coalition (LPC) announced publication of the first edition of the Library Publishing Directory.
