Abstract: The article presents a proposed rule and an advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPR) issued by the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) of the Department of Commerce. It states that the NMFS has finalized a status review and proposes to modify the Endangered Species Act (ESA) listing of the Distinct Population Segment (DPS). It announces a control date for limiting the number of permits or traps a business entity may own in Lobster Conservation Management Areas.
