Abstract

The article offers information on the role of sterol regulatory element-binding protein (SREBP) cleavage activating protein SCAP gene polymorphisms in reducing risk associated with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease in females with metabolic syndrome. Topics discussed include a research study conducted at Longhua Hospital and Fenglin Community Hospital in the Xuhui District of Shanghai, selected tag SNPs (tSNPs) using genotype data and statistical analysis with Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium (HWE).
