Abstract
- The article focuses on the collapse of Building 104 at Summer Bay Resort in Clermont, Florida from a sinkhole on August 11, 2013. It discusses the eight-step crisis communications plan which include the identification of the resort's president and chief executive officer (CEO) Paul Caldwell and executive vice president Juan Barillas as company spokespersons, establishment of communications protocol, and identification of stakeholders and audiences who need to be informed, educated and updated.
