Abstract
- The article investigates the relative anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and medial collateral ligament (MCL) strain patterns during physiological simulation of high-risk dynamic landing conditions. A novel in sim approach is used to examine ACL and MCL strain following knee abduction and internal tibial rotation moments. It looks at the determinants of resultant ACL:MCL strain ratio levels. The importance of understanding injury mechanisms for injury prevention strategies is also emphasized.
