Abstract
- The article focuses on a study regarding a mathematical validation of biologists' intuitive model for unlinking catalyzed by FtsK-XerCD system. It is mentioned that tangle analysis, which has been successfully applied to deduce strand exchange mechanisms catalyzed by site-specific recombinases is used in the study. The general problem of topology simplification in DNA is described.
