Intellectually disabled receive no greater share of psychotropics.

The article discusses a research study published in an online issue of the journal "Psychiatric Services" which found that people with intellectual disabilities did not receive greater share of psychotropics. The researchers reviewed prescribing data from fiscal years 2007-11 and compared psychotropic prescribing rates for individuals with a mental health disorder. Four classes of medications were examined.
