Abstract
- The article discusses various reports published within the March 1993 issue of the "American Journal of Public Health." It introduces two papers that describe the results of experiments testing the efficacy of health promotion programs in the workplace. Moreover, a study that aims to determine the efficacy of a smoking cessation program is mentioned. It addresses the potential of the workplace as a site for delivery of effective health programs and medical services. Furthermore, medical centers should take part in the initiation of a dialogue by inquiring about the issues that are of concern in the workplace.
