Abstract
- The article presents research related to the factors that are obstructing media freedom in East Asia. It mentions some of the recent events that occurred in China and North Korea including the case of Al Jazeera television's reporter Melissa Chan in China that poses question mark on the extent of political rights, civil liberties, and media freedon in East Asia. Also the factors that influence the media organizations are discussed.
