Abstract
- The article looks at the U.S. commercial paper market in the context of investment banking, securities and investment management firm Goldman, Sachs & Co., headed by George Van Cleave, as of September 3, 1979. Attention is paid to the commercial paper of Chrysler Financial Corp. and the impact of the bankruptcy of Penn Central railroad in 1970 on the commercial paper market.
