The article presents the author's opinion on political, economic, and social topics as of February 1, 1974. The author focuses on the U.S. airline industry with attention paid to the U.S. Government regulations concerning airline business and an increase in the number of no-shows. Particular focus is given to the policy of Great Britain's Prime Minister Edward Heath concerning the coal miners' wages. The growing use of private data banks is also discussed.
