Abstract
- The article offers a look at the world after the Cold War. Europe and the world have calmed down since the happy days of the piercing of the Berlin Wall, as well as the almost daily fall of Communist dominoes. One of the features of European politics today is the rise of populist protest against governments, as well as the political class as such. Political forces are now being released which the discipline of the cold war used to constrain. The cold warriors assembled in Berlin, Germany may have been demobilized, but they have a pledge and an example to the future.
