Abstract

The article explores the intervention of queer rhetorical pedagogy through former U.S. President Abraham Lincoln in the K-12 educational system. The collective memory of Lincoln is described as queer in two different senses. This pedagogy is expected to influence the lives of children on the country. Also discussed is the impact of configuring Lincoln as queer on LGBTQ students.
