Abstract

The article presents the history of the development of cellophane as narrated by Du Pont Cellophane Co. President L. A. Yerkes. He claims that cellophane is mainly made from wood pulp. He cites that the product was originally made by the French and was then called La Cellophane. The product is used in candy boxes, soaps and cosmetics, among others.
