Abstract
- The article compares investment in blue chip stocks or growth stocks to the purchase of corporate bond issues as of July 15, 1957. The author states that it can be worthwhile to invest in bond issues or in preferred stocks rather than fluctuating blue chips. He recommends stock of auto parts company Arvin Industries. Also presented are tables with the price fluctuations of blue chip stocks, the yields of bonds issues, and the yields of preferred stocks.
