Abstract

The article presents an update on the business sector in the U.S. as of July 1, 1933. Joseph B. Eastman, coordinator of transportation, was able to convince railroad executives to cancel their low wage strike. The Child Labor Amendment was ratified by New Jersey in June. Members of New York City's Merchants Ladies' Garment Association decided to block one of the avenues through which dress designs are pirated.
