Abstract

The article presents the results of a study on the efficacy of antibiotic treatment in patients with non-complicated acute bronchitis and discolored sputum. It describes the parallel group placebo-controlled randomised clinical trial used in the study. Details of the participants are provided, who showed symptoms associated with respiratory tract infection. It is said the number of days with cough did not differ significantly among patients treated with ibuprofen, amoxicillin, or placebo.
