Abstract
- This article explores recent developments in British labor movement. It aims to compare the similarity between the labor movement in Great Britain and the U.S. It suggested that the British labor movement suffers as well as gains from having been the first of the great modern labor movements. The trade union movement in Great Britain is still without coherence or system in its organization; it still consists of about 1,100 separate trade unions, coordinated and federated in many different ways, but still competing and overlapping to a most regrettable extent.
