Abstract

The article presents a study on the effects of exercise and physical activity in a weight-loss dietary regimen. The study involves a low-fat portion-controlled diet, exercise training and group education, and body composition analysis as well as exercise testing and energy expenditure measurements and lipid analysis. Results showed greater weight loss through combined exercise and diet compared to diet alone. It also found that resting energy expenditure is directly related to lean body mass.
