Presents a study that developed and evaluated an input function detector system that can be applied to both positron emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). Physiological functions that can be assessed quantitatively using PET and SPECT devices; Factors that were taken into account to develop a continuous monitoring system of input function; Electronic circuit diagram for PET studies.
