Abstract

The article discusses business developments worldwide as of mid-September 1955. The U.S. Civil Aeronautics Board approved Northwest Airlines' application to operate New York-to-Seattle, Washington cross-country flights. The electronics industry is projected to post annual sales of 20 billion dollars in the next 10 years. The Pentagon rejected the bid by British firm English Electric Export & Trading Co. to manufacture electric generators and transformers for the U.S. Army.
