Abstract

This paper describes a method which may be used to determine conjugation of iodipamide and ipodate in plasma, bile and urine. Using ''I-labelled contrast agents, conjugation was determined by thin-layer chromatography, before and after beta-glucuronidase incubation of samples. This method achieves a high degree of sensitivity. It was found that ipodate is excreted in dog bile principally as the glucuronide conjugate. Excretion of a small amount of iodipamide as a glucuronide conjugate was also detected. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
