Abstract
- The article offers tips for mothers on how to help reduce the risk of their infant becoming overweight later in life. The author says breastfeeding helps reduce the odds that a baby will become overweight, according to a review published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Studies by the "Pediatrics" journal have shown that starting solid foods earlier than the American Academy of Pediatrics' recommended 6 months increases the risk of obesity.
