ELECTROMYOGRAPHIC STUDIES ON THE EFFECT OF LISIDONIL UPON THE STRIATED MUSCLE OF THE URETHRAL SPHINCTER.

SUMMARY A report is presented concerning the effect of intravenously injected Lisidonil upon the electromyographically recorded action potentials in the striated muscle of the urethral sphincter. A distinct relaxing effect was observed in nine of ten cases studied. With the exception of one case of stress incontinence without neurological signs or symptoms, the series consisted of spastic paraplegia or tetraplegia associated with bladder disturbances.
