Abstract

The article discusses research which examined the use of videoconferencing in providing counseling and psychological services to rural regions. Through the partnership between the Center for Community Health Development and the Counseling Psychology doctoral program of Texas A&M University, a cost-effective mental health services option was developed for residents of Leon County, Texas. A brief overview of mental health needs and cases recorded in the region is also presented.
