Abstract
- The article offers the author's insights on the need to preserve Ash in Great Britain, as it is threatened to be extinct by the pathogen Hymenoscyphus pseudoalbidus. The author mentions the need to collect germplasm for its potential inclusion in breeding schemes. He mentions the uses of the tree specie in various fields including agriculture, building, and transportation. He adds that there had been no studies on the estimates of trees that can be included in the initiative.
