Linking enhancing and impairing effects of emotion--the case of PTSD.

The article presents a research that investigates the correlation between the cognitive and emotional disturbances and neural circuitry of patients with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in the U.S. Researchers found that both disturbances are associated with the neural circuitry of the emotion-cognition interaction of PTSD patients. Moreover, they said that their findings are vital in impairing and enhancing the implications of emotions.
