Abstract
- The article explores cases of musical hallucinations including one of an 89-year-old woman who claims she is hearing passages of opera "Der Rosenkavalier" and the other is a 75-year-old woman who experienced it while under therapy with dabigatran for atrial fibrillation. Both women showed no signs of mental disorders, were identified with small pontine lesions including the auditory pathway and was managed with pregabalin. The condition's similarity with Charles Bonnet syndrome is discussed.
