- The article discusses the implications of tighter and scarcer credit on investors in common stocks in the U.S. Topics discussed include rising yield on Treasury bonds, increasing interest rates and less return on common stocks as compared on preferred stocks. Also mentioned are the major decline suffered by the stock market in 1946 and some investment advisors' view that many industrial stocks are not attractive anymore to investors.
