Abstract
- The article reports on economic developments in the New England region in the U.S. as of July 1953. It claims that almost 10,000,000 Northeasterners are expected to visit the region for a vacation. However, the region's economy is not performing well as seen in the slowdown in the textile and shoe manufacturing industries. The opinion of Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Vice President (VP) Alfred C. Neal on the developments is also cited.
