Abstract

The article discusses research on the effect of triglyceride recrystallized phytosterols in fat-free milk on lipoprotein profiles compared to unmodified free phytosterols in hypercholesterolemic people. It references a study by T. Nguyen, published in the "Journal of Nutrition" in 1999. The researcher used nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), among others, to determine distribution. He discovered that TRP in fat-free milk can give cardiovascular benefits which include large increases in LDL.
