Abstract
- The article discusses a study on the efficacy of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) augmentation in patients undergoing arthroscopic repair for large to massive rotator cuff tears. The authors say there are few evaluations performed specifically for large to massive tears. Results of the study revealed the application of PRP for large to massive rotator cuff repairs improved structural outcomes, as shown by a decreased retear rate and increased cross-sectional area (CSA) of the supraspinatus.
