Abstract

The article offers an update on industrial issues in the U.S. as of November 1951. Business activity is expected to grow at a record rate in January 1952 particularly in manufacturing. The National Production Authority (NPA) is predicting that the aluminum shortage will end by late 1952. The allotment of carbon steel of the Prefabricated Metal Building Industry Advisory Committee for the fourth quarter is only 78,000 tons, which is lower than the third-quarter allocation of 125,000 tons.
