Abstract
- The article focuses on professor Yoav Gilad who conducted a research on gene regulation. It informs that Gilad met geneticist Doron Lancet who offered him a lab rotation and Gilad accepted it and in Lancet's lab he found twice number of genes with lost the ability to code proteins known as pseudogenes for olfactory receptors in humans. It states that using high-throughput multispecies DNA arrays Gilad identified sets of genes in primate species whose expression is derived by natural selection.
