Abstract
- The article discusses a study on the mathematics and reading academic growth of deaf students, who are instructed with an American Sign Language (ASL)/ English bilingual model. The study used the Northwest Evaluation Association's Measure of Academic Progress assessment to measure the academic growth rates of the study's participants. Results show that gender differences for growth levels of beginning mathematics were found.
