Abstract

The article focuses on the Section 953(b) of the U.S. Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act which required public companies to calculate the median pay of their employees and present it side-by-side with the pay of their chief executive officer (CEO). It mentions that the problem in implementing the rule is difficult process of calculating average stock options for employees as well as top executives.
