Abstract
- The article reports on a medical marijuana law titled the Compassionate Use of Medicinal Cannabis Pilot Program Act which was adopted by the state of Illinois on August 1, 2013 by Illinois Governor Pat Quinn. The law, which will take effect in 2014, will allow consumers with chronic pain and debilitating conditions such as muscular dystrophy, cancer, and HIV to have legal access to medicinal marijuana.
