Abstract

The article discusses the benefits of proper illumination in factories. The author says correct and adequate artificial illumination in factories merits careful consideration from plant managers. The indirect benefits are reduction in accidents, promotion of greater safety and better morale among workers and thereby minimum labor turnover, and protection of employee health. The greater ability to see with proper illumination leads to decreases in spoilage and thus increases in production.
