Abstract

The article reports that the city state of Berlin, Germany ventured into the euro market by selling seven year fixed rate bonds and issuing a six year floater in July 2013. Berlin's 1.5 percent August 2020 notes was priced by BayernLB, Dekabank and UniCredit at three basis points (bp) over mid-swaps. It then sold six year floating rate debt priced by LBBW and WGZ Bank which failed to reach full subscription.
