Abstract: The article discusses the staggered working hours in the defense industries in the U.S. as of June 15, 1942. It explores the transport system in the country in which tire shortage is looming due to World War II. It also suggests that the change in working hours targets to conserve transportation as government employees are growing and increase war production.
