Abstract

The article discusses stock splits and their reported decline in popularity among executives as of August 2013, focusing on the potential impact of a four-year-long bull market on the number of stocks that are trading above 100 dollars. It states that 10 of the 63 companies in the Standard & Poor's (S&P) 500 that are trading at 100 dollars or more have split their stock in 2013. Stock prices for the Internet travel firm Priceline.com and the computer company Apple Inc. are also examined.
