Abstract
- The article offers information on the history and expansion of the Lacey Act under its 2008 amendments, which leads to incorporation of foreign law for regulation of the importers and users of the timber and wood products. It analyzes that the difference between timber and wood products markets and the markets regulated under the Lacey Act. It informs that substantive laws should be formed to address the issue of deforestation and other problems related to timber production in the U.S.
