Abstract

Equipment was designed for peanut aflatoxins detoxification by ozonation technology. Results showed that factors, including ozone accessing methods, ozone concentration, time, and peanut moisture, had significant effects on detoxification. The optimal conditions was to input the ozone from the bottom at 6.0mg/L for 30 minutes and exhaust ozone from the top using peanut with 5% moisture level. Under the given conditions, the detoxification effects of total aflatoxins and affatoxin B<subscript>1</subscript> were 65. 88% and 65. 90% respectively. Results indicated a simple, reproducibility and environment friendly technique, suitable for peanuts aflatoxins detoxification. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
