Abstract
- The author offers insights on the U.S. stock market. The author contends that common stocks are cheap. He says that in the Standard & Poor's 500 index, the average stock is selling for more than 20 times earnings and provides a dividend return of barely 2.9 percent. According to him, the price/earnings ratio is high.
