Abstract
- The article presents the author's views on the winners of M. Barry Carlton award, probability hypothesis density (PHD) filter, and target tracking research. He says that the Carlton award is given to the best paper in the journal "IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems," every year. He says that 2010 winner are Nick Whiteley, Sumeetpal Singh and Simon Godsill for their paper on PHD filters. He also talks about the impact of the paper on target tracking research.
