Abstract

The article discusses theoretical approaches to the study of teaching and the evaluation of teaching methods. The authors critique the arguments of education scholar Gabi Reinmann, outlined in an article in this issue of the journal, on this question. Themes considered include the psychology of learning, the importance of students' experiences outside of schools for their education, and communication in education.
